Introduction to Our Endowment Projects for Supporting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa

The Waqf Meter is a project symbolic in its name and profound in its purpose. It aims to establish sustainable endowments that generate sufficient funds and appropriate revenues to serve and protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque, reinforce its Islamic identity, and support its steadfast community.

These people represent the entire nation through their defense, patience, and steadfastness, sacrificing their valuable resources to preserve the dignity of all Muslims and maintain their holy sites
This is achieved through the symbolic and spiritual division of the area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque into square meters. Then, the material cost required for each square meter is calculated to ensure its continued prosperity and resilience as an Islamic place. This is accomplished through various projects such as Quran memorization circles, learning platforms, iftar meals, educational lessons, public water facilities, student and social activities, among other events. The project aims to cover the entire area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. This division is meant to facilitate the process for donors and to enhance the ease of monitoring, following up, and evaluating the projects. It also increases the opportunities for participation in the protection and defense of the site. Furthermore, it motivates Muslims to compete in increasing the number of endowment meters contributed

After thorough studies and extensive information gathering about the holy city and its Al-Aqsa Mosque, it has been determined that the financial cost for each square meter (m²) is estimated at $1,500. This amount will be invested in a sustainable endowment project, the revenue of which will be dedicated to guarding the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Through this, Muslims will bear the responsibility of providing the necessary funds to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque from Judaization or destruction, God forbid

By the grace of Allah, the Waqf Meter project has begun to achieve some successes, such as the Caliphs' Waqf Complex project in Sur Baher in Jerusalem. This complex is the largest Islamic facility in the city after the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It was inaugurated in March 2022. Additionally, a series of legal and licensed investment projects have been established in Istanbul, the revenues of which are dedicated to the service of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Waqf Share, to facilitate for donors and broaden the opportunity for reward, we have divided the Waqf Meter project into fifteen parts. This allows the generous benefactor to donate whatever they can, forming the 'Waqf Share' project. Each share is valued at $100, to be spent on the same endowment projects, with the revenue benefiting the service of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. This follows the same mechanism as the 'Waqf Meter' project. The Minbar Foundation issues an official and certified certificate to the generous donor.

And there is no better conclusion than the words of our Lord Almighty: 'You will not attain righteousness until you spend in the way of Allah what you love. And whatever you spend - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it.' (Al-Imran:92). And the advice of our Prophet, peace be upon him, to Maymuna bint Sa'd, his freed slave and servant, as in Sunan Abi Dawud, Ibn Majah, Al-Bayhaqi, Musnad Ahmad and others, where she said, 'O Messenger of Allah, give us a ruling about Bayt al-Maqdis.' He replied, 'Go and pray in it.' - at that time, the land was at war - 'If you cannot go and pray there, then send oil to light its lamps

Project Objectives:

  • Sustain support and funding for projects within the Al-Aqsa Mosque, such as learning platforms, Quran memorization and Tajweed circles, 'Bairaq' trips for mosque maintenance during the five daily prayers, scholars' chairs, iftar for fasting individuals, youth activities, and others.
  • Sustain support and funding for restoration and construction projects in Jerusalem, especially in the Old City, to strengthen their resilience and presence. These people are the first line of defense for the noble Al-Aqsa, numbering around forty thousand, living in a very densely populated area, facing harsh living conditions due to heavy taxes, license denials, high cost of living, and scarce job opportunities, all aimed at depopulating the city for sole control over Al-Aqsa by the oppressive occupiers
  • Preserve the Islamic identity of the holy city and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque against Judaization waves, identity distortion campaigns, geographic changes, and historical erasure, through various projects that enhance Islamic culture and strengthen belonging to the Muslim community, directly forming a defense line for the mosque.
  • Open the door for Muslims worldwide to contribute to the defense and protection of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, as those who support the defenders receive the same reward without diminishing the latter's rewards
  • Revive the tradition of endowments among Muslims, either for themselves or in memory of loved ones who have passed away. As narrated by Al-Bukhari from Amr ibn Al-Harith, the brother of Juwayriya bint Al-Harith, Mother of the Believers, may Allah be pleased with them, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, left no dinar, dirham, slave, maidservant, or anything upon his death, except his white mule he rode, his weapons, and land he made as charity for the wayfarer.
  • Enhance the sense of Islamic brotherhood among the Muslim nation, emphasizing that the nation of Muhammad, peace be upon him, is one body, regardless of geography or languages, united by Islam, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa, which brings our hearts together.
  • Strengthen the resolve and stability of our brothers in Jerusalem, knowing the entire nation is behind them, caring for them, striving for them, feeling their suffering, supporting their resistance, and doing everything possible to aid them
